Irene’s Baked Hamburg, Macaroni & Cheese Casserole

Ingredients:

• 2 pounds lean ground beef

• 1 large onion, chopped

• 1 large can diced tomatoes, drained

• 1 medium green pepper, diced

• 1 jar spaghetti sauce

• Garlic powder, salt, pepper to taste

• 3 cups macaroni noodles, boiled

• 1 1/2 cups cheese (Cheddar)


Cooking instructions:

1. Fry beef and drain fat

2. Add chopped onions and green pepper, fry until tender

3. Add diced tomatoes and spaghetti sauce

4. Add garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste

5. Let simmer for 15 minutes

6. Add hamburger mixture to cooked & drained macaroni noodles, mix evenly

7. Transfer contents to a large, greased, glass baking dish

8. Layer cheese overtop of casserole

9. Bake in oven at 350ºF for 20-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted
